Bishop Doris Ford,
Pastor and Presiding Prelate
Bishop Doris Ford Is a compassionate leader who has a passion for encouraging, counseling and supporting other leaders. She is the founder of Cathedral of Faith International Fellowship of Churches and Ministries and Pastor of Cathedral of Faith Church of the Living God, Inc. With almost 40 years as a pastor and leadership experience, she continues with a vision of inspiring those who serve God’s people.
Moved in 2000 to organize a ministry fellowship for female pastors and women in leadership ministry, Bishop Ford launched Daughters of Zion in June 2003. Its purpose is to offer a platform where God’s Elect Ladies can get a release and be renewed, hear sincere encouragement, exchange resources and information and be motivated to move in the excellence of the Lord, thereby strengthening the entire body of Christ. Mentoring, coupled with prayerful support is Bishop Ford’s passion.
Under her leadership, Cathedral of Faith International is positioning itself to be the covering for many ministries throughout the nation and the world. Not another denomination, its purpose is to provide an organization that will bless its members, honor its leaders and share information that will propel them into a higher place of effective ministry. Its credo: RISE – Righteousness, Integrity and the Spirit of Excellence. "Where there is no vision, the people perish." -Proverbs 29:18a.
Bishop Ford has been awarded an Honorary Doctoral Studies Course degree in Christian Life Experience. Other recognitions include being honored in 2007 as one of the original (ten year) members of Bishop T.D. Jakes Potter's House International Pastoral Alliance (PHIPA). She was also listed in the National Register’s WHO’S WHO Millennium 2000-2001 edition.
Beyond the pulpit, she is preparing to author and release her latest book of devotionals titled: If Jesus Christ is the Answer, What’s the Question; as well as reaching out through social media with positive words of encouragement. Stay tuned...
The scripture that directs and sustains her life is Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Her motivation and motivating theme for now and for all is “Get in the Word and stay there.” No better place to be in a day and a time such as this.
